Dreamland (or a musical riff on Shakespeare's Midsummer set during the declassification of Area 51) is exactly what the title says it is, or is it? Who thought it would be a good idea to give a group of high school honor students free rein in a top-secret military base two days before it opens to the public? Will there be aliens? Maybe. A show choir? Definitely. An over-the-top, B-movie-style musical comedy with a score that blends contemporary musical theatre pop with the smooth sounds of the 1950s, Dreamland is the brainchild of Chris Miller & Nathan Tysen, award-winning songwriters of Tuck Everlasting on Broadway
13th Annual One Acts Festival

We are back with our 13th Annual One Acts Festival, and this time we are going back to a simpler time. When you would want to wake up early on a Saturday after a long week at school just to catch all of your favorite Saturday Morning Cartoons!
Submissions to this years one acts festival must be a spoof or inspired by a classic Saturday morning cartoon. Think Scooby-Doo, Tom and Jerry, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Bobby’s World.

The Dining Room
April 23-24 at 7:30pm, 25 at 2pm
Long before open concepts and eat-in-kitchens, the dining room was the heart of a home where people religiously got together at least once a day. For generations the dining room was typically the one place where a family could count on catching up with one another. The dining table was where details of the day were exchanged, children received counsel from wise parents and siblings, and big family news was broken.
“The Dining Room” is a series of vignettes that all take place in that once essential room. Written in 1982, A. R. Gurney’s play is not “historic” but given how much life has changed since the advent of social media, it evokes that earlier era of communal family meals as it examines the increasingly endangered dining room through its versatility and variety of functions. These 18 scenes coalesce, ultimately, into a theatrical experience of exceptional range, heartwarming humor, life changing events and abundant humanity - all of which happen in a dining room.

The Wizard of Oz

When the lights go up and Dorothy finds herself in the land of Oz—being hailed by the Munchkins for saving them from the Wicked Witch of the East—it is a pretty bewildering experience for a little girl from Kansas. But Dorothy bravely sets out to find a way back home and soon meets noble friends: the Scarecrow seeking brains, the Cowardly Lion who wants courage and the Tin Woodman who desires a heart above everything.
